A week before deadline and I still have more than half of the movie to finish. It’s so hard working at home when I have to watch the baby 4 nights a week. Not that I’m complaining about watching her, it’s just that it makes doing anything else almost impossible. But it’s looking really good so far. And I’m not worried abouot making deadline. If I have to I will just take some time off work again, but actually take it off this time.
Other events: Jack and Chrissy (My wife Tiffany’s sister) are getting married tomorrow so that will be fun. With that comes relatives in town. We have her other sister and her husband in town from Texas and I love when they are here. Ther’re lots of fun. We wish they would just move here. And today is my dad’s birthday. Other than that, nothing else is really happening.
Well I took a few days off work to work on the movie and didn’t really help much. Something just seemed to come up almost every day. I should have way more done than I do. But it looks great. The director knows what he wants and it shows in the footage. And I have worked with the DP before and he is surgical with a DVX-100.
Other news: I stumbled upon something hella sweet; It’s called Text America and I love it. It allows you to post photos straight to your TA site via email or your phone. The majority of people just use it for their camera phone pics. That’s mainly what I do. I got a schweet ass Motorola V600 and it takes great pics. Check them out sometime here. So the trailer is done and it looks schweet. Best of all, the studio guys love it. You can watch it here or look for it at www.anewbreedproduction.com . I am loving this so much. I wish I could just quit working at The Depot and work with these guys full time. They say that’s the goal in the next 6 months and I hope it comes true. As said before, once I finish this the site will be finished up and you will be able to see more of the movie as well as all of my old school work. Plus a bit of what is to come.
Well I’m putting the finishing touches on the trailer. It went from being 32 seconds long to a minute 22 seconds. For those of you that don’t know, or haven’t figured it out, I am editing a full feature length movie for New Breed Production and loving every minute of it. They certainly know what they’re doing when it comes to making movies. Low budget, easy to sell, action flicks. Anyways, so I’ve been working on this for a few weeks and it’s time to really start getting into it. I have almost all the tapes logged and captured and I’ll be getting all the audio on Sunday. I even took off a week of work to really dive into it from the start. The deadline is April 1st so the goal is to have it done two weeks before. It’s going to be cutting it close. I’ll post the trailer as well as updates as they unfold.
