I saw a handful of episodes and that was it for me. Quite honestly, I've never been a fan because of the whole voting thing. Like last season or whenever it was that they had that redheaded kid John on there? Really nice singer in a ratpackish kinda way... but he definitely wasn't the best singer on there. The only reason he stayed was because a) he was cute (in a little brother kind of way) and b) because of the elderly set that loved the songs that he sang. And this whole Taylor Hicks or whoever bullshit has got to stop. I've seen him. I've heard him. I'm definitely not impressed. I don’t watch this shit. But if Taylor Hicks wins the show, I know I will never watch AI again. He's a nice singer, sure, but he has ZERO stage presence, with his bizarre "woooooing" and herky-jerky body movements. Being an "Idol" is not just singing, but also performance skills as well. I haven’t watched much at all this season, after barely missing an episode during its first four years.
