Another Ultimate Fighting Championship in the books. The main event obviously was Liddell vs Sorbral with the secondary being Griffin vs Bonnar. Both set to be two great fights. There were 9 total on the card and they actually aired all 9 this time. It was a great set for sure. There were a fair share of knockouts, tapouts, and a few judge calls. Forrest Griffin won by judges score card and showed great sportsmanship. Bonnar actually said he would love to go another round with him or more. Then it was the main event with Liddell winning it in the first round by tko. Granted I would have liked to have seen a longer fight but “The Iceman” won and I won my bet so that’s all I care about. Over all it was a great night of fighting and worth every dollar to order it.

UFC asked me to do a favor for all my fans and i did it. The last fight with Ken Shamcock ended in 1:18 in the first round. I was very happy that I stopped Ken that quick, but everyone else wasn’t. So you are going to see it again!!! I could have waited until febuary to get my world shot at the world title but I wanted to make all of my fans happy. So I am taking a chance to fight him again for all of my fans. Let the punishment begin October 10th on Spike TV. I will shut him up once and for all!

So after posting about the Big O and Dukes show on 101.5 free FM friday night I shot an email over to the guys to let them know and think nothing more about it. Early on into the show they start playing a drinking game on the air. So naturally I call in to play along and give Oscar (”O”) a few reasons to drink. Once I let them know who I am they hollar at me to plug my site on the air. Let me say that again, PLUG MY SITE ON THE AIR. I was like holy shit. And to top it off they threw a link to the site on their website. I was so stoked. Who knows how long it will be up there but even if it’s just for the weekend, it’s a huge deal and a huge boost to my site. Ar!

I have finally decided which project to take on and it’s going to be the series. I have written a small description of the series and will be sending it to a writer shortly. From there I will start gathering up the props and securing locations. But I know I’m going to have to wait for final confirmations until the script is finalized. Same goes for actors. I know the basic ones I need, just not sure how many secondary I’m going to need. The hard part at this stage in the game will be getting great actors to work for credit and copy (no pay) which is always the dilemma with indie films. We shall see. For now the ball is rolling and I’m happy with that.

Talk radio has never been my thing. If anything is on the radio other than music, I always change the channel. Except for The Edge 103.9’s Morning Ritual, I actually wish they would not play music at all. That is hands down the best morning show in my opinion. But back to the point. I’m not into talk radio shows. So when KZON here in AZ switched to the new Free FM which is basically all talk radio all the time, I basically took it off the programed button. I will randomly go to it just in the rare instance they might be playing some music, which I think they do on the weekends.
Well the other night I was coming home from work and I happen to switch over to it real quick and caught a convo about the gas prices and the possible hike coming our way. So I stop and listen cause it was actually something that effected me and after about 5 mins I was actually diggin these cats. It was Big O and Dukes and they were local which is rare since all the other guys are in LA. So I actually listened to them the rest of the way home. And they were funny, they made sense, and most important, they had my attention. So during one of their breaks I gave them a call to and asked a few questions. “When is the show on? How long has it been running? Which one likes to wear pink underwear?” (That last one is a joke that only the listeners will get.) Basically they are on from 8-midnight and had been on for about 3-4 weeks.
So I tuned in the next night and basically the same thing, two dudes shootin the shit on the radio. Just what I want for the most part. Then they announce that Adam Sessler from X-Play is going to be on the show and how they are big video game nerds. I was like WTF?! This just put them on a whole new level. I listened in the whole way home including sitting in my driveway for 15mins while they ended the pulse segment. I don’t have a radio inside so…
To sum this all up, I have found my nightly fix of bullshit and entertainment and it comes in the form of Big O and Dukes. Hell I’m even going out and buying a radio just to listen to them. If you are in the AZ area tune in weeknights from 8-12 pm to 101.5 Free FM and if you are out of state they will be streaming online soon. Give em 10 mins and you’ll be listening nightly and probably even start calling in to give em your thoughts. If you do give em a big AR! and tell them Clintus sent ya’.
