Ok, so I use FireFox for all my browsing both here at home and on my flash drive when I am at work. Portable version for the win! I never use IE unless a website requires me to. Now, most of the world still uses IE according to some stats I read a few months ago, but FireFox is gaining ground quickly. So a good web designer would double check their work in the most widely used browser right? Well that’s why I’m not a fraking web designer.
So today I’m at my parents house and my mom asks me how to get to my Flickr page to see the photos of Sierra. After explaining to her that I put links to both my pages on her links bar I realize they still use IE even though I set up FireFox for them. So I open IE to add the links to the bar and get my first glimpse of the site in IE. I about punched the LCD. It is all F’d up. I don’t even know where to begin. I just got home and verified that it looks the same with my IE and sure as shit it does.
So by the off chance you are looking at this site in Internet Explorer this is not how the site is suppose to look. And the fact that it has been 4 days and I have had over 50 people either comment, IM, or email me about the new layout and no one has said anything; I think it’s pretty safe to say most people that go to my site use FireFox. I’m so fraking pissed right now!!
I’m working on this right now.

Join the club bro. Everyone’s yelling and screaming at IE all day my work. IT’S THE WORST FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT BROWSER OUT THERE.
hi clintus - i keep reading your comments around so I thought i’d stop by…
we figure IE adds measurably to the cost of every web development job we do, as the css and other items have to be hand-hacked to work in this poc non-compliant browser. i was thinking about a badge system we could adopt, clearly stating IE not supported. i just never liked those old messages, “this site works best in internet explorer” so what’s to think the opposite would be any better? rants like this can’t hurt though, and slowly…things do change.
I use IE7 and the site looks fine to me.
Eric - IE7 is ok, it’s the older versions. The point is that it’s not the same every where.
